How To Get Over Imposter Syndrome And Be Happy

DALL·E-2025-03-20-17.32.45-A-photorealistic-digital-painting-of-a-middle-aged-man-who-has-overcome-imposter-syndrome-and-now-radiates-confidence-and-happiness.-The-man-stands-in

TL;DR: A client transformed from feeling like an imposter to embracing self-love and confidence. By shifting focus inward, he overcame suicidal thoughts, found authenticity, and now thrives in the Charmed Life.

A surprising number of clients express having once experienced “Imposter Syndrome”. Usually, they make such statements after getting over that syndrome. Often, Imposter Syndrome precedes thoughts about killing themselves. Both the syndrome and wanting to kill one’s self point to a tremendously good thing. But most people can’t see the good; they only see the not good.

That’s why I do this work. I love it when people “suffering” from such conditions find their empowerment through those same conditions. On the way to building a permanent happiness in their lives, they find their empowerment and their confidence too. Sometimes, clients let me share their stories. In that way they become shining beacons for others. Their example helps others improve their lives.

Such is the case with the client who allowed me to share a segment of his recent session. In this session, he raved about his progress and about how much he loves who he has become. In that becoming, he’s not only learned to own his bad-assery, he also has found his authenticity feels better than trying to please people by being a chameleon.

Let’s look more closely at his story.

“I was making all that money…but still wanted to kill myself.”

Cain is an Positively Focused advanced client. As a result, he’s not only living the Charmed Life, he’s an example to others about what’s possible through the Positively Focused practice.

Before discovering Positively Focused, he was making a lot of money, but he still wasn’t happy. A big part of his unhappiness was feeling like an imposter, not feeling he fit in anywhere and struggling with being happy. But don’t take my word for it. Hear it directly from him. The video below comes right from our recent 1:1 session.

As you can tell, Cain has found an extraordinary level of self-love. Self love happens naturally once a person reaches for and achieves the Charmed Life I write about in this blog. The Charmed Life is the natural way of living. Living this way we’re free to be ourselves, no matter what other people think about us.

But very few people live their lives this way. Or they’re living a counterfeit version of it, where what they’re actually doing is reacting to what other people think of what they’re doing by living in a certain way as a kind of rebellion toward others’ opinions. That’s not the Charmed Life.

At their wits’ end

People can live according to how others think they should live for a long time. They can live their entire lives that way. But rarely do those people find happiness.

They may make a lot of money, like Cain was doing. But inside, they’re suffering. Some of those people end up wanting to kill themselves. Some actually do. About a third of my client roster comprises people who once thought about killing themselves. But everyone of them is now finding permanent happiness.

Why do so many people come to Positively Focused or something like Law of Attraction wanting to kill themselves as many of my clients have? I think it’s because they are at their wits’ end. They try everything else first because it doesn’t occur to them that the solution to their problems lies inside them.

So they try doing everything else they can. When that doesn’t work, their last stop tends to be something “woo”, like Law of Attraction or Positively Focused. They give up trying to “do” their way out of their problems, in other words. They try being. And then they get what they always wanted: Permanent happiness, a.k.a the Charmed Life.

You can have it too. And now it’s even more affordable. I’ve created new Cohort sessions that include up to a 60 percent discount on 1:1 session rates. Click here to learn more and start your journey to the Charmed Life my clients are discovering.

Why Spiritual Growth Feels Hard (And How to Make It Easier)

Spiritual growth is a flame we feed with focus. The light we seek waits not in grace bestowed, but in daily devotion — where each breath becomes a match to our divine becoming.

A client over the weekend realized this, although not so poetically. He claimed he was either “lazy” or “bad at the [Positively Focused] practice” because he felt so negatively. I begged to differ. “How can you be lazy or bad at the practice when you’re not doing the practice?” I asked.

Now this client, a veteran of the practice for many years, has a LOT of negative momentum born of pretty intense past experiences. And, he’s made TREMENDOUS progress in expanding out of really negative beliefs, and their corresponding negative emotions, into a more chronic, happy state.

But times do occur where he still feels really bad. Those feelings and associated old beliefs surface, then he succumbs. The reason he succumbs, and I told him this, is because he doesn’t do the practice.

So what is “the practice”?

We must do the homework

In addition to attending sessions wherein I offer guidance, clients are given a series of “homework assignments”, practices or processes. These processes help them connect with their Broader Perspective. But they also establish a foundation of vibrational alignment by developing habits of focus. Without doing these assignments, clients become an untethered sail in the midst of a vibrational mistral.

That was this client’s experience and explained why he felt lazy or bad at the practice. The problem wasn’t laziness or poor performance. It’s that he hadn’t been doing the practice at all. So he’s been like an untethered sail.

And yet, he keeps coming to sessions. Why?

Because in session I hold a very high vibration. One that makes people feel good when they collapse into it. That exposure alone can create enough positive momentum in a person’s life to see positive results. But the real results show up when people do the homework.

And this is why spiritual growth feels hard. It’s because the aspirant must devote themselves to the practice daily. The Positively Focused homework makes spiritual growth easier.

We all enjoy free will. That means we don’t have to do anything, even when our experience of life is near always awful. No one will bestow spiritual growth upon us, or a better life upon us. We must do it ourselves through a daily devotion, a daily practice.

And for many, “devotion” can feel hard. It’s not, but it can feel that way. That’s why people like me exist. People who can light the way for others to follow, to accompany them through their storms. To tether their sail to our stable vibrational halyard, when focus wavers under strong vibrational winds.

How To Live Happily Ever After For Regular People

Happily ever after is not just a story book tale. It can be the story of everyone’s lives. But it takes focus. After all, what does “live happily ever after” actually mean?

Is it riches and wealth? Is it a partner for life? Maybe an animal companion or a great occupation? Is it playing video games all day? Being high all the time?

I can tell you many people have one, some or all these conditions and more. And they’re not happy. Let alone happy “ever after”.

So what is living happily ever after?

It means in every moment one experiences happiness. And that happiness continues on and on and on and on…right up to one’s transition (and beyond, actually). The kind of happiness that looks like that, most people don’t enjoy.

That’s because one must choose to be happy. And they must choose it again, again and again and again…right up to one’s transition. The problem is, and I’m sure you know this, dear reader, most people don’t deliberately choose their state of being in any given moment. Most don’t think they can choose an emotional state. Instead, they let circumstances choose the emotion for them.

That’s not a recipe for happily ever after. That too is why so many think happily ever after only applies to story books. Not to “reality”.

But it does apply to reality too. If we develop the habit of choosing happiness, choosing to be positive, no matter what’s happening, then we can enjoy living happily ever after. It’s not easy making happiness habitual. Not at first. Like any habit though, continued practice makes it easy. So easy it becomes a habit.

Want proof that it’s possible? Look at your life now. Maybe you, like so many, let circumstances dictate how you feel. It seems instantaneous and is…because you’ve allowed it to become habitual. That’s proof that you can allow happiness to become habitual too. So you have evidence it’s possible.

My clients are living the possibility. This explains why they keep coming back. It also explains why they feel so good about life. Because happiness (positivity) is habit forming. And there’s nothing like a habit. A habit that feels good.

Happily ever after is available to everyone. Suffering and sadness (or any other negative emotion) is optional. Are you ready to make your way to happily ever after? Consider becoming a client. I’d be happy to show you the way.

The Jedi Path: How Focus Makes People Powerful

It’s so obvious to me that beliefs create reality. My own three-decade experience and over seven years working with clients and observing their experiences prove this undoubtedly. When clients start getting this, and it takes a while, they really turn on their power.

I often compare this YCYOR business to being a Jedi. Mastering the YCYOR way is similar to learning how to use the Force. So are the abilities that accompany such mastery. Once a person understands how the Universe works, they also get the power they possess. Then they can use that power.

They can use that power for whatever they want.

It doesn’t matter if others consider “what they want” “good” or “evil”. A new client, who is really gifted at this practice, recognized this in our recent session. She’s mixed race, in her 30s and very progressive. Yet, when we met, she brought up Donald Trump. She wanted confirmation of her conclusion that Trump is a powerful manifester.

Of course he is. It’s obvious when we observe his actions and what he says. For the most part he doesn’t care what others think. He doesn’t even care about what most of us would call “reality”. He creates his own. And he holds that creation until the world around him reflects that creation.

All the time in the world

I sense similar potential in the young woman client. She can create anything she wants, once she soothes beliefs that have her doubt what she wants as well as doubt herself. This is true with many clients.

Another, advanced practice client, who I once compared to Anakin Skywalker, just today understood what I’ve been telling him for years: That he has the potential to create great “good” or the opposite of that. In other words, his Jedi abilities are strong:

That’s how much potential he has. It’s not coincidence that he, too, is in his late 20s. Young, in other words.

The Universe and how it works isn’t bothered by human ideals of moral, immoral, good or bad. Look around. That should be obvious. As yet another young client recently said, “the Universe is indifferent to what you want, it just responds to your vibration,” meaning you’re going to get what you focus one not what you “want.” This client, too, is on the leading edge, is young and full of potential.

I’ve said this to many clients old and young alike: It’s a total misunderstanding that “adults” are here to teach children. The opposite is actuality: children come in as the leading edge. They’re here to take what adults have made, and leap into what’s becoming. In other words, they’re here to show adults what expansion now looks like.

Almost all parents don’t get that. So they push young people off their trajectory. And thus, it takes longer for “what’s becoming” to become.

Which is another good reason why we’re all eternal.

Turning Hell Into Light: How Contrast Fuels Expansion

A lot of contrast happened this week. Mastery of the Positively Focused practice transforms contrast, what ordinary people would call “negative” experience, into fuel for expansion, so this week offered a lot of fuel for my expansion.

And expand I did. That expansion included more detailed integration of old beliefs. Old beliefs having to do with money, tying money to my self-worth, and soothing species-level beliefs where they coagulate in the collective consciousness.

That location, where the coagulation happens, is what people would call “the underworld”. That is, if religion didn’t confuse people about what that place is really about. But because most people are confused by religion, and therefore fear that place, they avoid having any awareness of it.

Not me. That’s because we can’t fully expand without re-integrating fully into ourselves, our contribution to that coagulation. And I’m committed to my full expansion. So that means visiting the underworld and doing my part to untangle all that. Also, I have a larger agenda than just expanding myself. I apparently am also about expanding all of humanity.

That explains no less than three forays into the underworld this week alone. I’m going to write a detailed post about what that looked like. But I can assure you, the density of that level of consciousness is….harrowing….

But the light I brought to that region was transformative, which turned MY experience of the underworld into something less hellish.

Life is always a reflection of our dominant vibration. “Life” includes nonphysical experiences. And the underworld is part of life. That I experienced that world the way I did tells me something about the power of my vibrational mastery. It tells me my dominant focus is so strong, I can even turn hell into a reflection of my luminous consciousness.

That’s pretty profound.

Fear: A Great Way To Get Better Life Results

Despite significant differences, nearly all spiritual paths acknowledge and assert the Universe’s predisposition to respond to our thoughts and intentions. It is just how the Universe works. And, that way it works is the nature of how the Universe, and All That Is, expands.

It makes sense then, that we, as thinkers, participate directly in that expansion. In fact, we are a crucial element in that expansion. Through desires born from life experience, born through the contrast life offers, we express thought. All That Is responds instantly to every one.

So our lives could comprise an ongoing series of self-fulfilling desires. And they are. What keeps our lives from looking that way?

Well, fear is one answer. Fear tells us, any time we feel it, that we forgot the Universe responds to all our thoughts. Not knowing this, however, we use fear to double down on perspectives which keep us from becoming matches to our desires and thereby seeing them unfold.

Abraham reminding us that fear is unnecessary.

Fear is good. Joy is better.

When we remember what fear is for, then think thoughts deliberately, the fear goes away. The fear goes away and we become a match to that which we desire. Then, in time, fulfilled desires flow easily into our life experience. I’m enjoying this process as are many of my clients. Some struggle though because hearing, believing, trusting, then, knowing what you’re reading takes time.

Fear is a really good thing. It helps us remember. Remember what though? Remember that we are gods in human form, participating in the sacred expansion of ourselves, and All That Is. Fear, therefore, is a great way get better life results.

It’s not necessary to feel fear as a reminder of what we are or to get better life results. But for most, since they don’t know what we talk about in the Positively Focused practice, fear often is a great alternative.

Too bad so many people mistake that experience – fear – for something else and then let themselves and their lives to become limited by that experience.

You don’t have to be one of those people. Fear does lead to great results eventually. But it’s better, and more fun, to live in joy instead. Find out how to do that by becoming a client today.

Law of Attraction, Money & the Myth of Magical Spending

A Law of Attraction skeptic told me once that people who follow Law of Attraction are 30 TIMES more likely to file for bankruptcy. While I don’t put stock in statistics, I understand why so many Law of Attraction followers end up in financial straits. A couple client experiences back my knowing up.

One client lived as though he had more money than he does. Rather than living frugally, he spent from his savings and maxed out his credit cards, expecting his stories about money would turn around in his expected time frame. Not only that, he hadn’t paid attention to how much money was coming in, and how much was going out each month. So he was flying financially blind. Now, he’s struggling a bit because his small income from his artistic performance plus his social security are almost completely consumed by credit card debt payments and basic needs like rent and food.

Another client, who also is an artist, had a similar but different experience. This client creates beautiful, hand-woven items from rags. Inspired by my Broader Perspective, I bought one from her to gift to another client. I knew that client would enjoy the artistic expression. At the time, the artist didn’t have their pricing understood. Nor did they know how much it would cost to ship the thing. I bought the item before the client finished it for what I thought was a reasonable price. The artist finished it, then shipped it. The shipping was almost as much as what she asked me to buy the thing!

Generational beliefs about money

I’m clear about how this YCYOR business works, therefore I am keen on my money flows. So when the artist asked me to cover the high shipping cost, I said I would. But I told them I wouldn’t pay it until after tax season. My taxes this year were more than I expected due to my growing client practice, which, in itself is a surprising and delightful outcome of my Positively Focused practice. I thought I had saved enough for taxes. I miscalculated. So I was in austerity mode to cover the balance. Paying for unexpected, high shipping costs for an art item wasn’t on my priority list.

My decision upset the artist. When we talked about it this week, the client asserted that I was not doing the Positively Focused practice. I should pay them now, they said, and just know the money would show up.

But that’s not how this YCYOR business, the Positively Focused practice nor Law of Attraction works. And this misunderstanding gives credence to the 33X statistic.

Money is one of the most challenging manifestations for many people to become a match to. That’s because so many of us (me included) have old beliefs that run counter us being a match to money. A lot of beliefs. Often, those beliefs are GENERATIONAL. Further, these beliefs come with a lot of momentum. So soothing all that momentum will take a while.

How long will it take?

Don’t be a statistic

That’s the question. The answer is; we can’t know. But we can know that it will happen in delightful and surprising timing, aka “divine timing”, which usually means much longer than most people think or want to believe it will happen. So a person thinking they can just spend money because the universe is going to magically soothe all their resistant beliefs and, in short order, give them more money to spend, that person really doesn’t underhand how any of this spiritual stuff works. Especially around money.

Anyone striving to align their life with how the Universe works, be it through Positively Focused, Seth’s teachings or Law of Attraction must first understand key elements of those practices typically not shared in social media, by influencers or in movies like The Secret. When it comes to money, one of the most important things to do as one lines up with more money is to live within one’s means. Live frugally. Thinking money will come in if we freely spend money makes no sense at all. That’s because there’s a ton of beliefs and momentum each one of us has about money that created the money relationship we have. Those beliefs work counter to that expectation that money is coming.

Money is coming. But it’s going happen in divine timing, which is always longer than we think it’s going to happen. That’s why when what we want does happen, it feels like a surprise and a delight.

And if we don’t soothe that nonsensical belief, the one telling us we can spend freely when we don’t have a lot of money, we’ll end up a statistic.

Don’t be that guy.

Getting What We Want: Simple, Not Easy

This You Create Your Own Reality (YCYOR) Business is really simple. Line up with what we want until we become a match to it and it will happen, guaranteed. Sounds simple and it is.

But, unlike what the movie The Secret tells us, becoming a match to our desires is not easy. Especially because we can’t create around our current beliefs. Current beliefs is our reality. The world around us LITERALLY is our beliefs made real. That reality has a lot of momentum behind it. And since we can’t create around our current beliefs, in the process of becoming a match to desire, we must also soothe existing belief momentum.

The challenge with that, as some clients can attest, is, that’s not easy. One reason is because current reality is so present. It’s right THERE. We’re subsumed in it. Just being in our manifested beliefs literally amplifies the “what is” of those very beliefs. One client’s experience illustrated this yesterday. Her “what is” (she called it her “truth”) weighs so much in her mind it’s hard for her to NOT think about it.

And yet, moments later, she did a FABULOUS job leaning into thoughts more aligned with her desired reality than her existing one. It helps that this client is a natural at the practice. And yet, even as she did so, her current reality still was there pressing on her awareness.

It’s moment-by-moment sometimes

It can be hard to ignore “what is” in favor of what’s becoming. What’s becoming seems so not-real. But that is the practice. That’s what this YCYOR business looks like. It’s how it’s practiced. And that practice must become, not second nature…it must come FIRST nature. Otherwise “what is’” pervasiveness will dominate one’s awareness. When that happens, and that doesn’t feel good, that tells us we’re creating more of what we already have.

So this YCYOR business sometimes must be a moment-by-moment practice. Good news: the closer the practice gets to becoming first nature, the easier it gets to practice. Getting there takes a while, however, which explains why many of my clients, after years of being clients, still are clients.

Their lives have gotten far better than before. They’re getting what they want. And if you ask them, they’ll probably agree: it seems simple. Sure, they’ll say, getting where they are may not have been easy, but it certainly was worth it.

Life: It’s Not All Fun And Games, Until It Is

The reason I think most people are unable or unwilling to create the reality they want is because most of us are too saddled with “what is” or, as one client recently put it “the truth” of our lives. So they don’t know they can create any reality they want.

Make no mistake: Life is FOR REAL. Step into oncoming traffic and you’ll see. So our lives, the “truth” of them, can seem oppressive in their real-ness. Especially if our lives aren’t giving us what we want.

That’s why this You Create Your Own Reality Business (YCYOR) is serious business. It’s not all fun and games. At least not in the beginning.

The legacy of those who came before us

Because most of us, me included before finding out about this YCYOR Business, most of us are living our lives unconsciously creating from thoughts and beliefs that perpetuate the world around us. We work jobs we tolerate, numb ourselves with substances and do our best to make the best of situations we think are “just life”.

Many of those thoughts we inherit from our families. They are so a part of us, we’re oblivious to them. Yet we see them all around us, while not realizing the physical reality we see are our thoughts MADE MANIFEST. Made real.

Once thoughts become real, a lot of momentum exists in them. That means it takes a while for someone who meets this YCYOR Business to build a new momentum behind new thoughts that will create new realities. That delay, therefore, can be hard to move through. Especially if the client comes from really “trauma”-ladened past as many of my clients do.

So it takes a while to move from unsatisfying lives to better ones.

And yet, life is fun and games. We all knew it as that before we chose to come into our life experience. The trick of the Positively Focused practice is to return to that realization then live from that in real time. I applaud my clients because, from a certain perspective, it’s an act of bravery to take on our “what is”, our “truth”, and deliberately create something different. Especially with the “what is” pushing so hard against what we’re wanting, our new reality that gives us so much hope and eagerness.

I appreciate the brave ones willing to take on this practice. Life can be fun and games. But getting there is serious business. It’s not for the feint of heart.

How “Dreams” Show Us Our Loved Ones Aren’t Dead [Video]

TL;DR: The author asserts that the Positively Focused dream work reveals dreams as profound nonphysical experiences offering guidance, transformation, and connection with transitioned loved ones. Clients awaken to their expansive nature, unlocking joy, clarity, and boundless potential.

Our dreams come packed with extremely helpful information and crucial relational connections. Information and connections that, if we’re aware of them, and we integrate them, they benefit us significantly. This includes connections with relatives who have “died”.

But if we don’t believe we dream, or worse, if we don’t think dreams mean anything, then we not only not benefit from them, something else happens that is totally unnecessary: at death we enter the next phase of our journeys unprepared.

This explains why dream work is a big part of the Positively Focused Advance Practice. In the advanced practice, clients learn about dreams, how to interpret them and how to benefit from that interpretation.

The deeper clients dive into the dream work, the better they get at both dreaming and interpreting their dreams. As that happens, their personalities change. They expand, meaning clients realize they are far more than their physical bodies, and that they exist in far more places than this time-space reality. The Positively Focused dream work therefore offers so many benefits it’s a wonder sometimes why some clients dismiss this part of the practice.

Let’s look at a client’s recent dream experience as an example of what’s available while our bodies sleep.

His astounding dream

Cain is a 36-week Positively Focused client (“Cain” is pronounced “Kayeen”, not “Kane”). Early on, he experienced something remarkable as a beginning client: twice at night he found himself face-to-face with beings not of this reality. One instance scared him, but the next he was ready for. So he handled it much better.

Not long after those experiences, Cain began progressing quickly through early stages of the practice. So much so that he joined his wife among the advanced cohort of clients.

That’s right, his wife is also a client.

Since then, Cain has had a number of dreams, all of which have been outstanding. Only one of those prior dreams, however, was as powerful as the one you’re about to hear.

You’re about to hear it because Cain gave me permission to share the segment of our 1:1 session in which he shares what happened. Since he tells the whole story better than I could, I won’t recap it. Instead, listen to him tell it. It’s about 15 minutes long and worth every minute.

Journeys into nonphysical

Maybe now you can see, dear reader, how powerful dreams can be. Can you see the peace and understanding in Cain’s demeanor? His is an astounding example of how important nonphysical experiences people commonly call “dreams” are.

But they aren’t just dreams. They are journeys into nonphysical, happening while our bodies sleep.

Typically, this is the kind of experience a person has in what people call Near-Death Experiences (NDEs). These also are exactly the kinds of experiences that happen when we transition into nonphysical after death. Our loved ones join us as well as representatives on which we overlay the image of loved ones. They come to us in love, to comfort us and give us information we need to move forward.

None of that needs to wait until we die. And, for sure, we don’t need to wait until we die to experience joyful reunions with “dead” loved ones (they’re not dead).

But most people will have to wait until they “die” to do so because they, 1) have a ton of resistance keeping them from those reunions while they are in a physical body, and, 2) they don’t believe that what people call “dreams” hold any value.

But what people call “dreams” hold tremendous value. That value can be accessed through a simple process. The very same process Cain here is benefiting from. Indeed, my experiences while the body sleeps are so rich, empowering, confirming and powerful, I look forward to going to sleep every night. I’m eager, joyful even. And when I wake up the next morning, I usually wake in deep love and understanding that I am cherished by All That Is.

You are cherished too.

But you can’t know this if you can’t experience nonphysical the way Cain did. Oh, you can think you are cherished. You can believe you are. But until you have the actual experience, standing in the depths of the love of All That Is, you really don’t know it with unshakable conviction.

Dreams are powerful

That unshakable conviction is what moves clients in directions that others think are crazy. People try to encourage clients to be “realistic” about life. Realistic, usually means “pessimistic”. I encourage clients to become positively deranged. There, in that state, is everything we want. And it all comes effortlessly.

When a person discovers that state, there is everything to be optimistic about. Optimistic because physical reality is our creation, meaning, we can make it anything we want. We can make it anything we want because we are gods in human form.

Dreams are powerful. Nearly everyone grieves “losing” their loved ones. But that’s only because the grief-stricken “surviving” relative refuses to look where their loved ones are. THEY’RE STILL HERE. They haven’t gone anywhere.

But we must look where they are, not where they aren’t. We feel grief because we can’t see them because we’re not looking where they are. Look where they are though, and the loved one will greet you…then your grief of “losing” them goes away.
