“He has changed my perception of life for ever”
Matt came to the Positively Focused Practice after struggling with his gender identity and his ex wife, who he shares a son with. His goal was learning to embrace his gender identity and also create a better version of his relationship with his ex wife.
Everyone in our lives is a projection of our beliefs about that person. We never interact with the actual person over there. Instead, we re-create that person constantly as a projection of our beliefs about them. That means we can create any version of people we interact with. Including spouses. That’s what Matt did.
In a short time he discovered a much more pleasing version of his ex showing up in their time together. Along the way, he also came to embrace his gender fluidity, finding joy there too. A lot of that joy was covered up in believing other people’s opinions about Matt were more important than Matt’s opinions about Matt.
While we created new realities about himself and his ex, we addressed other disempowering beliefs Matt had about the world which, as he said, transformed his perception of life, not only “for ever” but for the better.
We held an event in 2025 for the general public. A friend of Matt’s was complaining about the current state of the world. Unsolicited, Matt responded to that guy on Facebook. Here’s what he wrote about the Positively Focused Practice. That’s quite an endorsement!
