“I get way more than what I’m paying for here”
Lisa is a retired senior person. She’s financially accomplished and enjoys her life. But she’s had a lot of trouble with her children…and with men. She came to the Positively Focused Practice after a particularly nasty argument with a child of hers, who blames her for sexual abuse she experienced at the hands of a step father.
Lisa changed so much because of the Positively Focused Practice that the daughter eventually became a client too. Together they have completely transformed their relationship, by realizing they each create versions of the other person and thus are totally responsible for their experiences.
Impressed with those results, Lisa then wanted to work on her relationships with men. She has a number of disempowering stories/beliefs about herself, about men, about her past with her father and more, that cause her to be a match to men who take advantage of her, in some instances in really intense ways.
While working through those beliefs, Lisa met who she considers to be the man of her dreams. But, as with all expansion, this man’s unsatisfying behavior reflected back to Lisa that she still has some beliefs needing work. So she’s doing that even today. Still, Lisa has said many times that she gets way more in terms of value than the small amount she pays each month for her sessions.
