“You are the single most influential person I’ve had in my life.…I don’t mind paying for your time.”
“Kip” was very unhappy with life. Like many, his family was the Source of a lot of pain. He came to the Positively Focused Practice after trying to kill himself with alcohol. A lot of people find Positively Focused after they’ve tried everything else. Kip was no different. He was angry, jaded, and seething at life in general. He took some of that out on me.
So when, in a rage, he said he thought he could move forward on his own, I was like “go for that!”. A year later, after struggling with porn addiction, alcohol and strip clubs, Kip texted apologizing for his arrogance and wanting to reconnect, saying “You are the single most influential person I’ve had in my life.…I don’t mind paying for your time.”
As a result, he has found his calling. Kip always wanted to be a comedian, but for many reasons having to do with his beliefs, he was afraid to move towards it. After about a year in the Positively Focused Practice, Kip got on stage for the first time….and killed it. Even the show host said Kip did better than the host did on his first time.
Today Kip is on fire and pursuing all his dreams…as he uncovers what those are. Instead of being afraid, he’s confident. Oh, he’s also gradually leaving porn, alcohol and strippers behind too.
